DESIGN MEMOIR & CREATIVE CONCEPT
1. Concept & Inspiration
La Cripta is a visual identity and web design initiative inspired by 80s horror movies, classic arcade gaming, and geek subculture. The concept merges classic horror tropes, 8-bit and 16-bit pixel art, and visual homages to cult cinema, evoking vintage arcade cabinets, horror comics, and supernatural lore.
2. Visual Identity & Iconography
The identity revolves around a skull nestled inside a stone crypt, accompanied by weathered arcade typography. The color palette pairs vibrant magenta, dark purple, radioactive green, and deep black to build a mysterious, nostalgic, and immediately recognizable universe.
3. Digital Scope & Community
The platform is envisioned as a digital hub dedicated to tabletop games, retro video games, and supernatural storytelling. It weaves graveyard scenes, mausoleums, and pixelated creatures into an engaging experience that balances editorial articles, community events, and a specialty board game e-commerce store.
